According to China Iron and Steel Association, the daily output of crude steel in the first ten days of Jan 2011 averaged 1.79 million tonnes a mild increase of 60,000 tonnes from the last ten days of December 2010.
The production level in January corresponds to an annual output of 653 million tonnes for the whole year.
The media also reported that the 76 steelmakers under CISA produced about 1.32 million tonnes of crude steel on daily average in the first ten days of January slightly higher than the record of the last ten days of last December. (Sourced from www.shihua.com.cn)
