According to the information released by the Brazilian ministry of development, industry and foreign trade, Brazil's iron ore export value in June this year rose by 49.99% compared to the same month last year, increasing to USD 3.5 billion.
In the first half of 2011, Brazil's iron ore export value amounted to USD 18.4 billion with an increase of 93.27% compared to USD 9.5 billion recorded in the same period last year.
In the first half of the year, Brazil's iron and steel exports amounted to a value of USD 6.3 billion with an increase of 63.9% compared to the same period of 2010, while its iron and steel product exports were valued at USD 8.5 million with an increase of 23.1 year on year.
