BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale jolted the waters off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 13:29 p.m. Beijing Time Wednesday, according to the China Earthquake Network Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 30 km, was monitored at 36.2 degrees north latitude and 142.4 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
