Reuters reported that Energy trader Gunvor is interested in acquiring Russian coal activities including coking coal miner Raspadskaya and steam coal player SDS.
The report quoted one of the sources as saying that “Gunvor is concluding the purchase of a large stake in SDS, and it could raise this further. But the ultimate goal is not SDS, but Raspadskaya.”
Gunvor, co owned by Mr Gennady Timchenko, declined to comment on the information. Its media relation representatives said the company does not comment on market rumor and speculation. (sourced from Reuters)
