SYDNEY, June 2 (Reuters) - Global miner BHP Billiton suffered a train derailment on one of its key iron ore routes in Australia's Pilbara region, which may impact its deliveries for the quarter, the Australian newspaper said on Thursday.
A train derailed on Saturday morning on BHP's Newman line, which connects Pilbara mines to Port Hedland, and operations resumed on Monday evening, the paper said.
BHP would not estimate the possible impact of the derailment on its sales figure. (Reporting by Balazs Koranyi, sourced Thomson Reuters)
