BHUBANESWAR: India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) has issued a tender to export 3,000 tonnes of aluminium ingots, a senior company official said on Thursday.
The last date for submission of bids is March 14, the official, who is close to the tendering process but could not be named due to company policy, told Reuters.
The metal would be supplied to the buyer in one batch either this month or next, as per the buyer's choice, the source said.
NALCO , the tenders of which serve as a global benchmark, last sold 7,500 tonnes of aluminium ingots in February to Switzerland-based Alaska Metals , at a premium of $106.51 per tonne over the average LME cash price on a delivered basis.
