Brierty has been awarded the hematite mining and services contract for the Karara iron ore project.

Valued at $185 million, it is set to run over four years.

The contractor is providing drilling and blasting, loading and haulage, as well as crushing and screening.

Brierty chief executive officer Peter McBain stated that this “contract is a cornerstone mining project and provides Brierty with ability to leverage additional opportunities from the development of the Midwest region of Western Australia.”

Karara CEO Stephen Murdoch said it selected Brierty based on the strength of its team.
