Bloomberg quoted the country Energy and Coal Ministry said without providing a reason for the increase that Ukraine coal production in the first two months of 2012 rose 23% compared with a year earlier to 14 million tonnes.
The Kiev based ministry said output rose to 6.85 million tons in February from 5.57 million tons a month earlier.
